Maya Ostrovsky – Violinist
Born in 2009 in Geneva to the musician’s family, Maya began her violin studies at the age of 5 with her father, Sergey Ostrovsky, then continued her studies with Oleh Kaskiv, Maïté Louis and Julien Zuffrey.
She is currently studying at the Geneva Conservatory of Music with Philippe Talec.
Maya had produced in the Swiss and International scene, in the United States, Russia and France. She participated in Summer courses and Master classes with Pavel Vernikov , Liana Tretiakova, Igor Pikaizen and Robin Wilson.
Maya has performed with orchestra several times, including Bach's Double Concerto with Neuchatel's Soloists and Piazzola's Libertango, and Beethoven's Romance in F , with the Geneva Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mirela Vedeva.
Maya is the laureate of the Joseph Hassid Competition in Estonia 2023 (3rd Prize), Concours Suisse Entrada 2024 ( 1st Prize) and the Riviera Suisse Competition in Villeneuve 2022 (2nd Prize).
