Theofania Archontopoulou (b. 2013, Switzerland) is a young award-winning cellist whose artistry has already gained international recognition. Beginning cello at the age of six, she quickly distinguished herself by winning first prize at the Zurich Youth Music Competition at just eight. Since then, she has received numerous international awards, including titles at the Grand Prize Virtuoso (Paris, Bonn), Rising Stars Riga, Nouvelles Étoiles, Golden Classical Music Awards, and London Young Musicians, where she was named Cellist of the Year in 2024.

In Switzerland, she is a three-time first-prize winner of the Swiss National Young Musicians Competition (2023–2025) and has won the Zurich Youth Music Competition four times between 2021 and 2024.

Her performances have taken her to prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Beethoven’s House in Bonn, and The Small Guild in Riga. In 2025 she made her debut as a soloist with Camerata Tschaikowski in London.

Theofania studies in Zurich with Payam Taghadossi and has worked with renowned musicians including Claire Oppert, Xiaoming Wang, Maurice Steger, Anzel Gerber, and Peter Somodari. She also performed chamber music with Trio Amabile and Trio Espressivo, appearing at festivals and concerts such as Ming Classics, the Dolder Grand Hotel with the Gringolts Quartet, and ETH Zurich with Orchester Collegium Cantorum.

Beyond competitions and concerts, she is passionate about sharing her music in charitable projects, having performed in support of children in Cambodia and Ukraine.
